Let's Talk

I read every message. Response time is usually within 48 hours — longer during heavy writing or travel periods, never more than a week.

Use the form below to tell me what's on your mind. The more context you give, the better I can respond.

What brings you here?

You read something I wrote. Pushback, questions, a related experience — all welcome. Good writing is a conversation, not a broadcast. If something I published made you think, I want to hear it.

You want to talk to someone who's actually done this. Twenty-five years building and running technology companies across the US, Australia, and Asia. If you're working through something in that territory — a decision, a transition, a problem that doesn't fit a framework — I'm happy to think through it with you.

You're working on a story, podcast, or piece. I'm available as a commentator, source, or guest on topics I've lived: AI adoption in business operations, the future of money and macro, building technology companies outside the Valley, and the operator experience that rarely gets written about honestly. Use the form and tell me about your angle.

You're exploring whether we might work together. I advise selectively and speak at events that are the right fit. If you're building something serious, drop me a note. I'll tell you quickly whether it makes sense to continue the conversation.

Not sure which category fits? Don't overthink it. Just write.

This gives me a way to reply directly.

Useful for media, podcast, event, or business inquiries.

Article, show, publication, company, or anything useful for context.

Especially helpful for journalists, producers, and event teams.

The more context you give, the better I can respond.

Best results come from being direct: what this is about, why you’re reaching out, and any relevant timing.

A few things worth knowing

I don't do unpaid spec work or free consulting via email. If your question is genuinely brief, I'll answer it. If it's a business problem dressed up as a question, I'll suggest we schedule a proper conversation instead.

I don't promote third-party products or services through this site, my writing, or my social channels in exchange for payment or consideration. If that's what you're looking for, I'm probably not your guy.

If you're pitching me something, be direct about it. "I have an opportunity I'd like to discuss" is fine. Mystery sequences are not.

Media and podcast inquiries move faster with a link to the show or publication, a rough sense of the topic, and your timeline. The form has a field for that.
